Amy Chapman, Secondary
Hello! My name is Amy Chapman, and I am so blessed to be teaching at Faith Christian Academy!
I grew up in Georgetown, graduated from Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Sciences, and lived and worked in Houston for nine years. After moving back to the Georgetown area, I was a substitute teacher for three years with Jarrell ISD during which time I completed my teaching certification through LeTourneau University in April 2009. I then taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade English, Social Studies, and Power Reading at Jarrell Middle School for five years.
I have two children, live in Georgetown, and I am a member of Church on the Rock.
My love of reading and writing was developed at an early age by my parents who were also teachers. I have always enjoyed school, and I believe that we should never stop learning and being open to new ideas and experiences.
Belinda Connally, 2nd through 5th Grades
Hello! My name is Belinda Connally, and I have lived in Georgetown for about twenty years. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development through 6th grade from LeTourneau University. Prior to being at FCA, I was blessed with the opportunity to work with special needs children in the Georgetown Independent School District for eight years.
I have been married to my husband David for nineteen years, and we have two sons, one who graduated from FCA and one who currently attends. We are members of Church on the Rock and are thankful that God planted us there to develop our faith and live out His plans and purposes for our lives.
I am honored to be a part of helping to fulfill the vision that God has given to Dr. Hattabaugh and Pastor Angie for FCA. I am truly blessed, excited, and thankful for the opportunity to teach at FCA and partner with the parents for their student’s spiritual and academic growth.
Katie Gonzales, Secondary
My name is Katie Gonzales. I have lived in Georgetown for about fifteen years, and I graduated from Georgetown High School. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin…Go Horns! I have always had a passion for working with youth. After graduating, I decided that I wanted to become a teacher. I received my secondary education teaching certificate in 2008, and began teaching the following school year. I taught the most popular subject among high school students, Mathematics, for Round Rock ISD. After five years of teaching I moved to a new position where I could work with children and their families. For two years I worked with the Runaway and Homeless Youth Program at STARRY.
I am married and have three children, two daughters and a son, who keep us laughing every day. We are members of Church on the Rock and couldn’t be happier about where God has planted us. We are honored to serve our Pastors and our church body in the youth department! What a blessing it has been to see God working through our young people!
I am excited about this opportunity to work with our youth at FCA. I appreciate our Pastor’s heart to establish a school that brings the church atmosphere around our youth every day of the week, sets a standard of excellence, and most importantly puts God as the first priority.
