Amy Clark, Secondary
Hello! My name is Amy Clark, and I am so blessed to be teaching at Faith Christian Academy!
I grew up in Georgetown, graduated from Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Sciences, and lived and worked in Houston for nine years. After moving back to the Georgetown area, I was a substitute teacher for three years with Jarrell ISD during which time I completed my teaching certification through LeTourneau University in April 2009. I then taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade English, Social Studies, and Power Reading at Jarrell Middle School for five years.
I have two children, live in Georgetown, and I am a member of Church on the Rock.
My love of reading and writing was developed at an early age by my parents who were also teachers. I have always enjoyed school, and I believe that we should never stop learning and being open to new ideas and experiences.
Katie Gonzales, Secondary
My name is Katie Gonzales. I have lived in Georgetown for about 15 years, and I graduated from Georgetown High School. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin…Go Horns! I have always had a passion for working with youth. After graduating, I decided that I wanted to become a teacher. I received my secondary education teaching certificate in 2008, and began teaching the following school year. I taught the most popular subject among high school students, Mathematics, for Round Rock ISD. After five years of teaching I moved to a new position where I could work with children and their families. For two years I worked with the Runaway and Homeless Youth Program at STARRY.
I am married and have three children, two daughters and a son, who keep us laughing every day. We are members of Church on the Rock and couldn’t be happier about where God has planted us. We are honored to serve our Pastors and our church body in the youth department! What a blessing it has been to see God working through our young people!
I am excited about this opportunity to work with our youth at FCA. I appreciate our Pastor’s heart to establish a school that brings the church atmosphere around our youth every day of the week, sets a standard of excellence, and most importantly puts God as the first priority.
Courtney Guzman, 1st and 2nd Grades
Hello, my name is Courtney Guzman. I grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Round Rock Christian Academy in 2012. After graduating, I started working at Church on the Rock under my parents, Dr. Hattabaugh and Pas. Angie, as an administrative assistant. In 2014, I accepted a teacher’s assistant position at Faith Christian Academy. The following year I transitioned into a full-time teacher position and continue to be thrilled to be a part of what God is doing at Faith Christian Academy. I am currently enrolled at LeTourneau University, pursuing my bachelor’s degree in early childhood development.
I am married, live in Georgetown, and serve in the Children’s Ministry and on the Praise Team at Church on the Rock.
I am thankful for and excited about the vision that Dr. Hattabaugh and Pas. Angie have for Faith Christian Academy to bring the students back under the anointing of the church where they belong. We have seen God do amazing things in the lives of the students and teachers, and I know the best is yet to come.
